Would my medical insurance cover the costs of genetic testing?

If your physician orders the test with a diagnosis code then the laboratory should able to bill your insurance directly when you provide us with their information. You will be responsible for partial payments or any costs that your insurance company refuses to cover. However our experience has shown so far that very few claims are rejected by the insurance companies.

Our collaborating laboratories accept National PPO plans and Medicare. Some of them also may be contracted with some State insurances such as Medicaid and Medical (California State Insurance).

Our experience in California has showed that Medical  covers single mutation testing, yet for multiple mutations the coverage is partial so you should pay for the balance.

Unfortunately we are not contracted with HMO medical insurances therefore we will not be able to accept them.
